September 11, 2001, is a date in which will be take to beed in the minds of Americans forever. Four commercial airlines were hijacked. The hijackers intentionally crashed two of the airliners charitable beings Trade Center in New York City, sidesplitting everyone on board and many others working in the building, and also killing an estimated 343 firefighters. The hijackers also crashed a third airliner into the Pentagon. The fourth plane crashed into a field near Shanksville in rural Somerset County, Pennsylvania, later on some of its passengers and flight crew were said to attempt to experience control of the plane. 2,999 people were estimated as dead, and a massive 6, 291+ were considered injured. On this date, 9/11, I was 11 days old in the 5th grade of grammar school. At that time I neer went to New York before, but it to me is a massive metropolis with a lot of pride and tradition. The though of the actions that were taking on this side satisfying day by terror ists shocked me as a kid and changed my unrestricted opinion on how unsecured a huge city homogeneous New York is. At the time I had no pinch what was deprivation on because I was 11 eld old. I never saw before, an entire nation except dispense with everything there doing because of a specific event. I record my teacher being called off of class, because she had to be informed on what was passing on and what to say to her students. I also remember going home and watching this horrible event over and over again on TV. Now as I contrive on this event in this day in age, I look at how hard it had to be as a nation to over come such a tragedy. I also look at the courage it took for firefighters, the policemen, the aesculapian personnel, carry through workers, and all the common people who helped out on the combat sites during the actual disaster. These people performed some real heroic tasks that took a lot of determination and bravery. These people took the ultimat e risk, by attempting to merely lives of ci! tizens they had no connection with.
